On Friday I wrote a post over on EN World highlighting the 10 Best Reads of January and the reception has been pretty good so far both on EN World and Reddit (which is where I'm always afraid I'll get savaged). I like doing things like this because it tends to get people thinking about not only the blogging side of things but about new ways to run their games.
When I started the BEST READS OF THE WEEK! series my whole idea was to try and raise the profile of other bloggers by highlighting their best posts. In a lot of ways it's worked because I get great comments telling me how they're finding things they would have otherwise missed. Which is wonderful but the posts typically don't get as many page views when I post them on the weekend as I think they would if I posted them during the week. I'm going to start posting them sometime during the week Monday through Friday. I'm leaning towards making it a regular Monday thing but I thought I'd see what you all think. So leave me a note and let me know!
I enjoy the best reads. Keep on posting them whenever.

ReplyDeleteMaking it a regular Monday thing? Maybe. I kind of don't want you to go through all that trouble every week. A monthly 'Best Reads' would cool. I think it's an awesome series, and service, but I don't want it burning you out.
It doesn't burn me out so much as consume my internet. That's the only part that ever becomes frustrating.
