Leaked Image from 5e Player's Handbook

Tell me this image on the right is just fucking outstanding! God I'm so excited for these books. The art alone is just too good!

  2. Looks great! At first I just spent some time giggling at the juxtaposition of the post it note and the screen image, but then I realized it was of the wild magic table, so I've been cursing my failing eyesight, and low res images in general, since.

  3. Can someone identify all the software he has pinned to the start bar?

I can pick out what looks like a folder - email? - Word - Chrome - Media Player - dunno - dunno - sticky notes - Acrobat Reader - dunno - Excel?

    I'm weird. :P

    1. Okay, he's using Windows 7. The first icon on the bar is essentially the new My Computer (it's a file icon where you can access all your programs, so same difference). No idea what the second icon is. Then we have Word, Google Chrome, Windows Media Player, One Note, Internet Explorer, Acrobat Reader, Outlook, and Excel.

      Does that help?

    2. Good catch on IE and Outlook. The colors are all washed out on my work PC and I couldn't make heads or tails of them. And I wouldn't have recognized One Note, I think I've heard of it but I've never used it before.

So. What does this collection of apps tells us about 5e? xD

    3. The second icon on the bar is just Windows Explorer.

The collection of apps means that instead of using Mac to design, they most likely run all Windows machines so their stuff can talk to Hasbro's computers. We made the switch to Windows from Mac several years ago just for that reason. The Macs hated trying to talk to our servers and vice versa.

    4. I hadn't even thought about the Mac vs Windows component of the discussion. Strange that, that slipped by me.
