Depression McGee and Other Minor Tramas

Suffering from a minor bout of depression kids. Nothing to worry yourselves with as I'll get over it quickly enough. Just kind of lethargic today. Oh, and my son destroyed his room with vomit and diarrhea last night.

THE JOYS OF PARENTHOOD ARE LIMITLESS.

  1. I feel ya, bro. Hope you both feel better soon!

You know, studies (should) show that hugging your kids is beneficial for everyone involved.

  2. Chin up brother! Its all worth it when they pay somebody to clean up your vomit and diarrhea when you're old! And besides, depression just makes the peaks prettier. ;)

  3. Hell if my kid destroyed their room with vomit and diarrhea I'd be a little depressed too.

  4. Understand brother! I've been suffering from depression for a very, very long time. Recently, I went to my cardiologist, got the usual done, and everything is great health-wise. I just need to lose weight, get some more exercise, and quit smoking. I'm giving Wellbutrin a shot, and see if it will curb my cravings and help me quit. The upside is that, mentally, I've never felt better. It is really helping me.

Now, I'm not saying you need it. You know yourself better than anyone. Just be sure that if you don't snap out of the depression any time soon, then you may want to look in to something like it. I didn't really even know I was chronically depressed until I got on the drug, and it has made a world of difference for me.

Get better my friend, and be sure to stock up on a shit-ton of baby wipes.

    1. I think it was just a minor bout of depression but I'll keep it in mind!

  6. If you do your job well your kid(s) will have kids and you'll get revenge.

  7. been there, done that. It's nice when they get old enough that you can teach them how to wash their own sheets and clean up after themselves. In the mean time, hang in there. As Red Green says, We're all pulling for ya.

  8. Definitely feel your pain. It'll turn around, but damn those days can be tough ones. People say those infant/toddler days are the best ones, but I think they're on crack. My wife and I couldn't wait until they were old enough to communicate their issue and needs, and be at least a little self sufficient.

    1. I'm with you Reese. Life is so much better when your kids can tell you what's wrong and not just cry their eyes out unable to let you know what's going on.
