I'm Sorry, What Did You Say?

Sorry for the lack of updates since Friday but I've been dealing with a bullshit migrane that's kicked my ass for the last 42 hours or so. It's really been a bitch. Anyway it seems like it might be breaking so hopefully I'll be able to post some more this afternoon. Until then here's my snap review of Captain America: Winter Soldier:

  2. I'm writing my review of it right now...

Migraines suck. My wife missed our D&D game on Friday due to one. Not sure about you, but for her, it's usually the transitional weather. Something about the air pressure and the funky light of an overcast day.

    1. Mine can be caused by changes in air pressure, elevation, red foods, artificial dyes, stress, and about a billion other factors. Normally a dose of Goody's or BC will knock them down to a manageable level, but this last one has been ridiculous.

    2. Consider having your Magnesium and Vitamin B6 levels tested. Susceptibility to Migraines is usually the result of a deficiency of one or both. If you have trouble absorbing sufficient amounts of magnesium or B6 from food and/or supplements, there is a kit you can buy for about $10-15 consisting of a sterile single-use needle pre-filled w/ injectable magnesium & B6. Learning to give yourself an injection may not be a pleasant prospect. but if you are one of the many people for whom this treatment will end a migraine in minutes, and prevent them from recurring for days or even weeks, it is worth it.

    3. I'm actually on supplements of Magnesium and B complex to help. Thanks for the advice!

  3. Sorry to hear about all the controlling factors, though I'm glad you know about them. My mother -- in her 70's -- suffered for years, even being hospitalized with them. Her doctors finally determined that it was sugar. For year's now she's stayed away from sugar and mostly avoids them.

Glad you're feeling better. Stay out of the mountains, avoid beets etc. Stress? Well, there's no avoiding that these days, sad to say.

Hope you're feeling even better soon.
